About the design and construction

Bronte is a classic and timeless striped cardigan for the youngest, featuring a modern, maritime look. The cardigan has an elegant V-neckline, decorative shoulder details, and edges finished in double rib. With its thoughtful construction and neat finish, it’s just as enjoyable to knit as it is charming to see in use. The cardigan is seamless.

First, the back piece is knitted back and forth, and the back is shaped with increases. Then, stitches are picked up along the shoulder seam, and the shoulders are knitted back and forth separatelyIn the shoulder sections, increases are made to shape the neckline. The work is joined under the arms, and the body is knitted back and forth, finishing with a double rib hemNext, stitches are picked up along the armholes, and the sleeves are knitted in the round and finished with a double rib cuffFinally, stitches are picked up along the front, which is also worked in double knit. Stripes are made from the middle of the yoke.
